Cost of a Tattoo

It is important to understand that the cost of a tattoo is made up of several factors: Quality, size, placement, the Artist, and the Studios minimum charge.

Quality

We are complete perfectionists when it comes to the quality of each tattoo we produce. Precision, attention to detail and dedication are all factors in how we approach each and every tattoo. We believe in producing tattoos of the highest quality.

Size

The size of the tattoo factors into the price because this is linked to length of time required to complete the tattoo. You may request a tiny tattoo with detail however if done too small details aren’t visible and over time can appear blurred. The Artist will give you their opinion on what the best size for the design should be.

Placement

Some areas are more difficult to tattoo than others and longer time may be required to complete. On some areas of the body like the ribs the tattoo may need to be completed slightly bigger than specified to allow for the way the skin stretches.

Artist

Each artist will have their own pricing structure they know how long something will take for them. Each Artist is individual and they work at their own pace with extreme precision. We have many different personality types however they all have 1 thing in common: they are complete perfectionists when it comes to completing a tattoo.

We believe here at Origin we have some of the best Artists the industry offers not only will you get a tattoo of the highest quality it will be a fun, friendly experience that you won’t forget.

Studio’s minimum charge

Means that tattoos will start from this price.

Cost is a factor for most when booking in a tattoo and some will shop around for the cheapest price.

We don’t offer cheap tattoos, but we will always be honest with what is possible with your design ideas. We want your tattoo to last and we will give you advice on placement, size and design so your tattoo continues to look amazing in years to come.

We believe a tattoo is an investment as it is something you will wear on your skin for the rest of your life.

Quite often clients come to us asking for a cover up, a correction or a recommendation for tattoo removal. If you weigh up the cost of having a tattoo corrected, covered up or removed then your tattoo may cost you more in the long run especially if you are guided by price alone.

Do not rush your decision because a design idea picked on impulse may be one that you want to change quite quickly after having it done.

If you are unsure or may not feel ready to commit to having a tattoo, we would always advise you take the time to think about it.

You can always come in for a consultation and chat through any concerns you have with us.
